Softwood Plywood (Fir or SYP) is manufactured through a process of laminating thin sheets of softwood veneer together. The panels are graded according to the quality of their face veneers and strength. After inspection, each panel is stamped with a series of industry markings to indicate its grade and strength rating. Plywood panels are available for both interior and exterior use, and are easily worked with the same hand and power tools as dimensional lumber.
